These Tips and Hints will help you maximise your savings!

The right product for you

Sundial has several voice products designed for the needs of different customers.

 - Subscriber Accounts give you our lowest call rates and per second billing – ideal for regular callers
 - Business Accounts give you our lowest call rates, per second billing and cheaper daytime calls to SA cellphones (from November 2009).
 - Sundial International Calling Cards are available in R50, R100 and R200 denominations.  The higher the denomination, the lower the call rate.

Access Numbers

When using the Sundial Telecom service you will be required to call into one of our Access Numbers – always dial the nearest access number to you, or dial our 087 Cellsave access number when calling from your Cellphone (saving you an extra 30c per minute on the Sundial International call cost).

Remember when you call one of our access numbers you will be charged by your Service Provider (Telkom or your cellular provider) for the cost of a standard call to a Telkom line. 

When calling from a Telkom Landline

Always dial your nearest Access number.  We have access numbers for Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Nelspruit, Klerksdorp, Rustenburg and Vereeninging.  From a landline you will be charged standard local call rates for the duration of the call.

43c per minute during the day
21c per minute Callmore (7pm – 7am and weekends).

Where possible try and make calls in the evening or weekend to benefit from Callmore rates.

From outside of these areas you will be charged the cost of a national call;

72c per minute during the day
46c per minute Callmore.

Telkom Closer Plans give allocations of free local and national calls.  You CAN use these free minutes when using the Sundial service. Remember – Free minutes from Telkom means you only pay for the International part of the call (from your Sundial card/account).

Alternatively, you can use your Free Cellphone minutes.

When calling from a Cellphone

The Sundial Cellsave access number (087 941 5000) discounts the International call charge by an extra 30c per minute and you can use your Free cellphone minutes to call this access number.
